Advantage Dental Assisting School is a 10 week course that is taught on Saturday's in an actual state of the art dental office, located in Olathe, Kansas. The curriculum is taught by working dental assistants. The schools method of teaching is hands on and practical. You will be completing 80 hours of lectures and laboratory work during class time and approximately 60 hours of home study (recommended). Some of the subjects that will be taught: making impressions bleach trays, basic anatomy and dental procedures, charting, taking x-rays and by the end of the 10 week course we will help you write your resume and improve your interview skills. Also, you will have an opportunity to intern for a working dental office to test the skills you have acquired. Advantage Dental Assisting School has been certified through the Kansas Board of Regents for the last four years. Upon completion of the course you will receive a certificate document that you have completed the course with approximately 150 hours of practical application on dental assisting. We intentionally keep our class sizes small to ensure the qualified students the individual attention they deserve. The total cost of the course is $2495, which includes books and lab materials.
